2021/1/4· Calcined petroleum coke is the raw material for manufacturing electrode paste and graphite electrodes. Petroleum coke (green coke) must be calcined. The calcining temperature is generally 1300°C. The most widely used is low-sulfur calcined petroleum coke (sulfur content S<3%), which is used as a raw material for graphite electrode production.
Made from petroleum coke breeze, which is calcined to remove hydrocarbons and moisture, the backfill possesses a high fixed carbon content and an uncompact resistivity of 4.7 ohm-cm. Alcoke is processed on site and is available in three product grades ideal for different installation methods. Click HERE for product brochure.

Petroleum Coke, abbreviated Coke or Petcoke, is a final carbon-rich solid material that derives from oil refining, and is one type of the group of fuels referred to as cokes. Petcoke is the coke that, in particular, derives from a final cracking process–a thermo-based chemical engineering process that splits long chain hydrocarbons of petroleum into shorter chains—that takes place in units

Calcined Petroleum Coke. Calcined petroleum coke is a critical ingredient in the production of aluminum. It is created by placing high quality raw "green" petroleum coke into rotary kilns, where it is heated to temperatures between 1200 to 1350 ˚C (2192 to 2460 ˚F). The high temperatures remove excess moisture, extract all remaining
